Christmas vs Covid!

Christmas this year has a big dark COVID-19 cloud hanging over it. With countries in lockdown, laws being made to limit who you can see and just the general downbeat mood of nations, we need something to pick us up. So let’s beat Covid this Christmas using photography! Photography can pick anyone up, especially if you have a focus, prizes to be won and experts on hand to help.

We’ve made it our mission to give you that focus by putting on a Christmas photography competition for free.

We want you to get creative with your camera and to lift your spirit further we’re going to give away 3 great prizes.

Your Theme!

Yes, you’ve guessed it, the theme is Christmas with Covid! Take pictures that show the meaning and feeling of Christmas to you, especially in these tough times. It could be a special ornament on the Christmas tree made by a loved one, enjoying the family meal on Christmas day, playing silly Christmas games, beautiful snow-covered landscapes or even Santa and his reindeers. The important thing is that it screams what Christmas is all about and what makes it special, even during a year like this. Show people how good Christmas is no matter what you face in life, and how it can lift peoples’ spirit.

How to Enter

Firstly, you need to be following our Instagram or Facebook or better still, both.

Then you simply add the tag #tsopchristmas2020 in the description of your Christmas shots on Instagram.

Competition starts 1st December and ends 31st December - Winner revelled 7th January 2021

1st Prize

Here at The School of Photography we will pick what we think is the best Christmas photo and the winner will receive a yearly TSOP membership. Our membership option is the complete package if you want to learn photography properly.

Terms and Conditions

By entering this competition, you are agreeing to the following:

There is no limit to how many photos you can enter into the competition.
Only single picture posts with #tsopchristmas2020 on Instagram will be considered – no carousels.
You must have taken the image yourself and own the rights to be able to enter the image.
Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash no alternative will be offered.
The photographer holds all copyright over their images.
By submitting you agree to The School of Photography using the images on social media and to promote this and future competitions.
The School of Photography will judge entries and winners will be contacted via the social media site they submitted the photo on.
If there is no response from a winner after 3 days of being contacted we will pick a replacement winner.
Prizes will be issued at the end of the competition. Competition ends 31st December. Winners will be announced by the 7th January 2021.
All images submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them. Winners will be required to provide the original Raw file of the image for proof of this.
Images that show an identifiable person. It is the responsibility of each entrant that the identifiable person in any image submitted was aware that they were being photographed and the entrant has obtained full permission from all involved (or their parent's/guardian's permission if under 16) for their image to be submitted in the competition and that the identifiable person agree to The School of Photography using the images on social media and to promote this and future competitions.
The entrant holds full liability and exonerates The School of Photography of any disputes and loss’s that may arise from such disputes relating to copyright and uses of an identifiable person.
Although we endeavour to provide quality prizes The School of Photography cannot warrant sponsors products/services and you agree not to hold The School of Photography, or its staff liable for any losses costs or liabilities that may arise in association with the prizes or sponsors.
